A fantastic team effort after a call came in about a swan with a 3 barbed pike lure through its tongue.

Mark from Swan Rescue Hertfordshire manned the kayak and the swan close enough to the bank where I was able to catch it using a swan hook.

The hook was removed and I drove it to The Swan Sanctuary for treatment. The swan recovered fully and has recently been releases. You can see the release footage on my Facebook page.
