Busy, busy!
I wasn't planning to do another update so quickly but the past 24 hours has been rather busy.
Yesterday my calls were:
Barn owl trapped in a Warehouse in Essex. Sorting this is challenging due to the size of the building - on going.
Muntjac trapped in railings in a local carehome. Thank you to the fireservice who assisted me in a sucessful rescue/release in situ.
I came home with a swift from the muntjac rescue that had been cared for by another rescuer and needs readying for flight.
Limping duck: to be monitored
Another barn owl taken in to Henlow vets. I gave advice over the phone, asked for x-rays to be done and arranged a place for it at South Essex Wildlife. Thanks to Becky for the call and the transporters for getting it there.
I also had a call from the Raptor Foundation, letting me know a buzzard I took to them on 26th August was ready for collection. Chris had seen the bird hit by a truck and kindly stopped to pick it up. I stabalised it for a few days, then asked the Raptor Foundation if they could continue its care. The bird was completely off its legs and unable to stand. You can see from the release video below, it's had an amazing recovery. Many thanks to all at the Raptor Foundation.
Please do leave comments below as I'd love to hear how you are finding the news page.
Thank you to everyone who helped our beautiful wildlife.

Was so happy to see this show up in my inbox☺️
So no tea for LSP again 😆🙄😘
